Lavender is a princess kept away from the world in her manor, whose only contact with the outside world is through her servants. Learning more about the war her father continues to support, she desires the political power needed to oppose him. For that, she searches out her older sisters.

Felicia is a young man who avoided conscription by living as a woman for most of his life. He is left feeling neither gender suits him well, and wears either garb as the situation fits. He harbors a grudge against the crown for destroying his family, and joins the Rose Party–a revolutionary group who is interested in Princess Lavender and her sisters.

Lavender and Felicia meet at a crossroads in each of their lives, and navigate towards their goals together through the outside world.

Lavender Legend is a webcomic with its first roots dating back to 2008 as single-strip gag comics on oekaki boards. Self-publishing started in 2010 and reached a height in 2013. Since then the comic has experienced some financial setbacks, coming to a halt in 2015. In 2017 it resumes.

New Version

The current edition of Lavender Legend is not a reboot or starting over at the beginning, it is about fixing major continuity errors and mistakes before continuation. Most the scenes will remain untouched, while some will have dialogue changed only, and very few will have edited artwork. There will be some new scenes and some deleted scenes. This process is scheduled to complete over the next year, before 2018.

I tried to draw close to my old style hoping there won’t be too much art inconsistency, but it still looks pretty different. Grengis’s introduction never sat right with me, like it was a cheap joke that paints this character as a lecher, and that’s not the direction I want to go in now.

So, this is more of an awkward/inappropriate thing (considering their age difference) more so than outright catcalling.

First page! Welcome to Lavender Legend!

I did very few edits to this other than to fix Lav’s chin and change aspect ratio to a larger scale comic size. The perspective drawing is slightly off and some details could be straighter, but for having drawn this almost 10 years ago, I think it’s a pretty good starting spot for this series.

New cover for Chapter 1! I think this addresses the earlier story contents much better than the original.

Original cover is still available to view on Deviantart if you’re feeling nostalgic, or just want to see what it was like!

Hi everyone!

If you’ve been a reader for a long time, I am sorry if I may have worried you, and glad that you are still interested enough to check this website. Right now the site is under construction while I migrate to a new CMS.

I’ve been through some bad life situations over the past couple of years which made focusing on art for much more other than professional necessity (work for Filthy Figments as well as other clients) difficult for me. Now I have a stable place to live, I’m getting help for my health issues (physical and mental), and I have support from family members.

I’m happy to say that I am improving in health, and as a result, Lavender Legend will be coming back soon.

To start this process, I’m going to be posting the pages again in regular order starting at the beginning. As I upload, I will be doing a number of edits to fix continuity errors and avoid serious story conflicts in the future. I want everybody to understand that this is not a webcomic reboot. 90% of all the current work will remain unedited. I’m changing only a few key scenes/dialogue that caused major problems for continuity, and adding a few scenes that make the story flow better.

For now there’s not going to be any fixed update schedule. I may upload several pages/scenes at a time if they have no edits.

Comments will be turned off until this process is complete.
