It’s very impressive, but also to be expected. The King has warped fanatical ideals but he is not stupid. He would know that any agent he sent to control Argotta would need to have very impressive combat skill, because combat skill is one of the only things Argotta has any respect for.
I had to google image search Solid Snake, because I am not really a Metal Gear fan, but once I did I could see it. There are many images of Snake where he is quasi-faceless, but the headband is still clear. Vetti’s hip to waist ratio and bust line are masked by Argotta in panel 2, so the strongest feminine visual cues are absent.
A lot of it is in the way the shoulders turn up. I did this for a more masculine appearance, but it does resemble the silhouette of Solid Snake’s vest.
I was not conscious of the vest similarity but looking at the snake images again, that’s definitely part of it. It’s amazing how much visual recognition happens at an unconscious level unless I really try to think about it.
Argotta should be grateful he wasn’t messing with Jeanne from World Heroes perfect. He’d be black and blue on both cheeks and all over his back from being thrown across the room.
