This strip was not created specifically for April Fool’s. It’s the reward to all the readers for our donation goal being met. But since it is poking fun, I thought it would be appropriate to post it today.
Why a Gurren Lagann reference? I thought of the opposite of Felicia as being super manly and confident. Then I was trying to think of a good costume to give him to express that, while also trying to sneak in some shirtless!Fel for the fangirls. Kaminafrom Gurren Lagann immediately popped into my head. The psudo-cosplay works almost too well because Fel’s hair is the same color as Kamina & Simon. The power of manliness!
Opposite!Lavender is frumpy and spurns Felicia’s advances. What’s amusing to me is that this makes her more like canon!Felicia.
Opposite!Grengis is a woman, I think that is bad enough without any further explanation.
I can’t think of any better characterization of manliness than Kamina. Good choice. And pecs. XD
